On Capitalism

Capitalism dominates the current economies of the world and is the main driving force behind the extraordinary growth of businesses we are witnessing today. However, the free market systems and incentive mechanism in capitalism is
motivated by making more profit and making more capital to reinvest. In a perfectly free market, one who has more capital will eventually be able to make even more capital. This growth is known to follow power law. Hence, rich will get exponentially richer. One person by virtue of random events can suddenly get huge capital and can move to the higher quantile of financial wealth. However, that probability is very low. This phenomenon also creates power law of transaction systems, power law in consumerism. The impact in social model can be simulated with varieties of games to understand possible equilibrium situations. The profit oriented system can critically impact infrastructure, healthcare and education in a macro-economy. The system naturally deprive vast majority of people or create certain degree of difficulty for attaining their basic needs so that the capital generation system can get it's cheap labour. Also note that a country's law and order system maintains a powerful military with public money to protect the smooth flow of capitals. A capitalist system without a strong military component is not possible. The military is actually fundamentally important for capitalism and more important practically than education or healthcare. It will be interesting to see more research in long term macro economic simulation games on capitalism to understand its impact in human history.

On interpretation

There is no true interpretation of anything; interpretation is a
vehicle in the service of human comprehension. The value of
interpretation is in enabling others to fruitfully think about an
idea.

Team building.

What would be the best team for objective X? This is a question on which quite a few students have got their management PhD thesis. However, I feel that there is not much scientific study on this. There is of-course plenty of anecdotal knowledge. Typically for software application it is better to have people who are knowledgeable and can show appropriate peer respect. The second criteria is actually more important than the first one. The team dynamics may also depend on leaders of the company since they can motivate people for good or they can also encourage nasty individual competition inside the team that can hurt the team goal. It is important to have a team motivational factor and a team reward in case the expectation is to make a winning team. It's a lot like making a soccer team. There may be one or two super critical players but the team should be above an individual. I have seen this in sports but surprisingly this is rare in the industry.
